It's been 6 months since I updated this site. Not that I've been lazy - au contraire! Coming back to RPG gave a me a new surge of inspiration and I keep experimenting new illustration techniques.
Latest additions:
+ Mary-Sarah
+ All is full of love
+ Royal Escapades (Thind, P.I. cover)

This was a very busy beginning of the year - so busy I hardly took the time to update this website. And it was time, since I came up with a lot of new pieces (four, more exactly).
First the news. Two months ago, in the sad and grey month of March, I left Northern Ireland and came back to France. Now, I'm looking for a new job and this is taking a lot of my time.
In the meantime, I joined the Script Frenzy (NaNoWriMo's little sister for scriptwriters) and attempted to write a proper script to Red Hot Moon between the 1st and the 30th of April but couldn't attained the 100 page target - not enough time to write. Well, I'll do better next year.
I am also thinking more and more of changing the design of this website and maybe integrate some Flash and PHP, and other stuff to make it slicker and more dynamic. Oh, and some textures will not harm it either.
So, for the latest additions:
+ Dream of the Endless, or my very first Neil Gaiman fan art.
+
Thind, P.I. and Honor Killing, or my very first book covers. Oh, and there is a new subsection dedicated to Book Covers on the Portfolio page.
+ A French Wedding website - as the name says.

I wish everyone a new year full of joy, love, happiness and prosperity ! :)

This had been planned since the creation of this site, and has been accelerated after much nagging from my relatives and non-english-speaking friends, but now it's done: minamzi.com is now available in french.
To go there, just click on the wee french flag in the menu bar. Or click here.
Next step should be a german version. Because I can - and also because I like the german language.
And while I was at it, I added some stuff in Illustrations and Logo Design (Yes! NI-NoWriMo was getting bored being on its own...).
+ Go4Glo is the name of a temporary glowstick sale business set up by a housemate for a college assignment, and for which I designed a logo.
+ Chibi Maddens: SD versions of the 2 main Red Hot Moon characters and my first effort in vector drawing.
Among the current works in progress: a wedding website, covers for a crime novels, more chara designs and illustrations related to my NaNoWriMo novels.

Like every november since 2007, I am taking part to NaNoWriMo. After winning last year, I feel very confident and know I can reach the 50,000-word target - and maybe even write more ! I am also giving science-fiction a try after two years of writing about werewolves. I'm already looking forward to see how it'll all turn out...
My laptop has become too old and tired to support the newest Adobe software and so, I bought a new one, which is now running the Adobe CS4 Web Premium package, and this is the one I'm updating this website from. I am thinking again of changing the design, which I'm starting to find quite depressing. I have alreay changed the header banner - hope you like it :) Now with a fully functionning computer equipped with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and Illustrator (yes!!) and a fully-functionning graphic tablet, my arm is complete again! At last!
Yet no new illustration or photograph, sadly. Sorry everyone :( As a very meager compensation, you can see the logo I designed for NI-NoWriMo last year. But that doesn't mean I've been sitting around cutting slack : I am actually working on comics. Yes, you read me - Comics. I finished scripting, drawing and scanning a short story I created for a new anthology by the 2D Collective. The project is currently on a hiatus but I hope you will be able to read it on this site soon. I also have an idea for a comic series of mine and am pondering a pilot story. At least, some character design has been done. Soon on this website too...

At last ! I have redone the whole website ! And guess what - this time, I ditched the tables and Fireworks HTML and decided to resort to CSS, and only CSS for the layout. You are now looking at the result, which I'm quite happy with and hopefully - so you are. This was really hard - and also exciting as I learned a lot - even more than I did at college.
While I was at it, I have added some new pictures in the Digital Illustrations and Web Design galleries.
+ Fear #1, Fear #2 and Girl in the Mirror are pictures I made for a collection of short stories about fear published by Derry's 2D Collective. The book was sold in early June at the 2D Comic Festival at the Verbal Arts Centre in Derry. Given the hectic schedule I had at the time, I didn't have the time to produce a proper comic and could only come up with these two pictures - which I thought could be used as incidental illustrations or fillers for the gallery.
+ Cynis Ishani the Earthsinger was a work commissioned by an American friend of mine, who wanted me to draw a character he created for a game of EXalted.
+ I posted a screenshot of the former interface of this website here.
